Tammy Staeden

Manager

Tammy Staeden has over eight years experience in healthcare finance and reimbursement working with various healthcare institutions, primarily acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and rural health clinics. She has specific expertise in financial feasibility studies and financial projections for hospitals, nursing homes and clinics. She has held the position of interim Reimbursement Director for acute care hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.

Ms. Staeden has prepared and reviewed Medicare, Medi-Cal and OSHPD cost reports for hospitals, nursing homes and rural health clinics and provided assistance with intermediary audits and appeals. Ms. Staeden has also performed audits on Contractual Allowances and Third Party Liability accounts for various healthcare facilities, assisted hospitals and nursing homes with budgeting and cost accounting, calculated reimbursement rates for acute care hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, and has prepared many other financial analyses.

Prior to joining HFS, Ms. Staeden was the Reimbursement Manager for a regional Health System in Wisconsin. Previous to that position, she started her career in the healthcare industry by working for a regional CPA firm in Wisconsin as a Healthcare Consultant for over four years, where she provided financial and reimbursement consulting services to a wide range of health care facilities. She also has experience in general accounting roles and is proficient in various software programs.

Ms. Staeden received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin — Green Bay. In addition, she regularly attends seminars and training sessions to stay current on all the State and Federal regulations in the healthcare industry. Ms. Staeden is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
