Scott Frost is the practice manager for the materials management consulting services of HFS, specializing in developing advanced logistics and cost reduction programs for hospitals and healthcare organizations.
These programs address significant issues and include organization-wide supply cost reduction programs, logistics redesign, stockless procurement, and materials management information systems design and installation.
Scott Frost has over twenty years of Materials Management experience in a variety of settings, including multiple facility, research, and teaching organizations.
Scott Frost has designed and implemented large scale cost reduction programs for significant provider organizations. For a four-hospital system in the southwest, his efforts resulted in a $5.2 million (annual) supply cost reduction. For a large multi facility division of an integrated provider in Southern California he coordinated the redesign of the materials services organization, delivering dramatic service improvement and a $6.5 million (annualized) supply cost savings. His work has included large and small hospitals, covering a broad spectrum of governance and service characteristics.
His articles on healthcare Materials Management have appeared in industry publications and newsletters. He has been invited to address various trade groups and seminars, including regional chapters of the American Society of Healthcare Materials Managers, the International Managed Care Congress, and the Food Service Consultants International organization.
Scott Frost received his M.B.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno, and has also received the designation of Certified Healthcare Executive from the American College of Healthcare Executives.
