FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR RURAL HEALTH CLINICS

Rural Health Clinics (RHC) improve the delivery of quality, cost-effective health care in rural, underserved areas by increasing primary care services for Medi-Cal and Medicare patients in communities that would otherwise not have the resources to serve this clientele.

Unlike Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHC), RHC’s do not have the benefits of federal funding and often-times struggle to meet the financial growing demand of their patient base. However many community, corporate and family foundations offer funding opportunities to these critically needed clinics.

Below is a sample of current RFP’s available to nonprofit RHC’s:

Access to Care/Health Eating, Active Living Grants (Deadline varies)

Support for Health Services and Education (Deadline varies)

Child Health Initiative Grant (Deadline July 31st)
