On Friday October 8th, the State Legislature passed a budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, at exactly 100 days late. This surpassed the previous longest impasse at 85 days in 2008. The Legislature spent 20 hours in the marathon session writing portions of the $87.5 billion budget and arguing out the details. (more…)
