Steve Rousso to Share Expertise on Healthcare Finance Issues

HFS Principal, Steve Rousso, will share his expertise in hospital and clinic finance and reimbursement at two upcoming speeches. On June 18 he will speak at the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCLAC) CFO Roundtable on PPS Reimbursement and Licensing.

Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of all aspects of Medi-Cal reimbursement (PPS), licensing issues for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), Medicare issues, enrollment issues and six critical steps clinics should implement in order to prevent problems with the federal government.

On June 27, Rousso will speak to the California Association of Rural Health Clinic’s (CARHC) Fifth Annual Meeting in Sacramento on the topic of “Recent Stories You Might Not Have Heard Concerning Rural Health Clinics.” Topics he will cover will include: information about current issues facing RHC’s; illustrations of some RHC situations; state and national RHC Eligibility; application and licensing; state and federal enrollment; PPS and state rate setting issues; Medicare rate setting issues and other reimbursement issues.

HFS Launches Secure Client Portal

HFS is pleased to announce the launch of our Secure Client Portal (SCP), focused on enhancing transparency and improving communication with our clients.

The SCP is currently up and running for our Wage Index Improvement Strategy Services (WIISS) and provides our clients with a summary breakdown of their portion of the $135 million benefit, which HFS has achieved through wage index findings over the past four years. The SCP also includes instructions, best practices, and tips for reporting wage index information on the Medicare cost report. (more…)
